Temecula Valley, CA, Lodge members awarded $1,000 scholarships to Chaparral High School student Kevin Casasola and Great Oak High School student Yoo Min Michelle Ko, $750 scholarships to Murrieta Mesa High School student Casey Joe and Linfield Christian High School student Rhett Johnson, and $500 scholarships to Vista Murrieta High School student Erin Paulson and Great Oak High School student Nickolas Radosevich. The lodge also hosted a dinner for the six students and their families. West Covina, CA, Lodge hosted its annual holiday dinner for 45 children with muscular dystrophy and their families. A total of more than 150 people attended the party, which featured musical entertainment and an appearance by Santa Claus, who spent time with each of the children. Foundation. An additional $2,000 of the proceeds was given as a donation to the Harry-Anna Trust Fund, which supports the state major projects, Florida Elks Children’s Therapy Services and the Florida Elks Youth Camp.
In other news, the lodge held a soup cook-off and raised more than $250 to sponsor needy children from San Jose Elementary School so that they could attend the Florida Elks Youth Camp.
Green Cove Springs, FL, Lodge members visited Charles E. Bennett Elementary School and gave two books and a sweatshirt to each of 145 needy first graders.
