Hendersonville, NC, Lodge members honored the winners of their Americanism Essay Contest in a ceremony at the lodge. Lodge members gave each winner a certificate and a savings bond. The winners of the seventh- and eighth-grade contest were Immaculata Catholic School students Nathan Kelsch (first), Archie Case (second), and Joe


Maddock (third). The winners of the fifth- and sixth-grade contest were Clear Creek Elementary School student Alana Robinson (first), St. Dominic Savio Homeschool Cooperative student Susanne Thomas (second), and Clear Creek Elementary School student Grace Vinzant (third). Florence, OR, Lodge hosted its annual Community Appreciation Christmas Dinner, which was attended by more than 560 people from the community. The dinner featured entertainment by clowns and several gift baskets awarded as door prizes.


In other news, the lodge donated $1,000 to the Siuslaw Athletic Booster Club to support the Ian Foster Athletic Scholarship Fund, which helps student athletes pay fees to participate in sports activi- ties at Siuslaw Middle School and Siuslaw High School.


Tillamook, OR, Lodge members awarded scholarships worth a total of $4,000 to Neah-Kah-Nie High School students Willa Childress (girls, first place), Branson Laszlo (boys, first place), Mitchell Baertlein (boys, second place), and Christine Schilliger (girls, second place). In other news, lodge members distributed 260 English-Spanish dictionaries to third-grade students.


Bellefonte, PA, Lodge hosted a dinner fund-raiser and raised $1,800 for the Bald Eagle High School Basketball Booster Club.


Ridgway, PA, Lodge members awarded $1,000 scholarships to second-year college students Bryton Dybowski, Alexis Konen, Mor- gan Mader, and Perri Stark.


Camden, TN, Lodge donated a piano to the Camden Elementary School music education department.
