Preface I
n the early 1980s, Peter Clifford, Christopher Hague and I - all lifelong friends - decided to share our passion for walking in the countryside. We had no idea then where the path would lead us. Almost thirty years on, we’ve created hundreds of unique walks all over the world and had the privilege of sharing them with thousands of like-minded Wayfarers' friends.
If you have never experienced our style of travel, I hope this Walk Away Guide will inspire you to join the trail, and give you a glimpse of what makes a Wayfarers' Walking Vacation so memorable. It also offers practical advice on how to choose and prepare for your first Walk.
