3. I’m Traveling Solo, Will I fit In?
There are many single travelers on a given Wayfarers trip. As Guest Julie Vanek says, “As a single woman, it is a great way to travel to places outside of big cities that I wouldn’t normally visit by myself.”
4. Who is Leading the Trip?
Every trip has a Walk Leader and a Walk Manager. The Walk Leader is with you on the trail every day, while the Walk Manager attends to moving your luggage, arranging meals, and surprising you twice daily with a refreshment stop along the way.
5. Do I Have to Carry My Own Luggage?
The Walk Manager transports all luggage between hotels. You only need to carry a light day pack, a water bottle, and any extra clothing and personal items for the day’s activities.
6. Where Do We Stay?
As a small, independent company, The Wayfarers avoids hotel chains in favor of locally-owned inns. You can expect gracious English manor houses, Tuscan villas, French châteaux, medieval inns, and rustic lodges in the American West, all chosen for their character, location, and the warmth of their welcome.
