7. Where Do We Eat?

You’ll dine at fine inns or local restaurants where the cuisine reflects the best of the region’s cuisine and culture. Very often, you get to taste local wines at dinner.

8. What If I Don’t Want to Walk One Day?

The Walk Manager can suggest alternate activities on a given day and transport you to the next hotel, should your group be moving on that day. Each destination offers attractive non-walking activities, for example cycling from our Burgundy Barge Walk in France or paragliding in Switzerland. Most can be arranged locally by your Walk Leader or Manager and can be planned in advance through The Wayfarers’ office.

9. What if it Rains?

The walk typically goes on, though you do have the option of taking the van. Bring Gore-Tex jackets and pants, as well as Gore-Tex hiking boots, to keep you dry during the wettest afternoons.
