A Typical Day A typical day? You may be awakened by a neighboring rooster or church bells. A hearty breakfast of local fare, a discussion of the day’s route and highlights from the Walk Leader, and off you go, while the Walk Manager handles your luggage. On most walks, The Wayfarers provide you with lightweight telescopic walking sticks to help you on your way. During the morning’s walk, there might be a manor house to visit, a church worth popping in to see, a village that moves to an 18th century pace. There will be ups and downs, depending on the difficulty of the walk. You hold gates for each other and help those who are perhaps less agile than you over a particularly difficult stile, those primitive but highly useful steps to get you up and over a gate or a stone wall.
