This is the third Bicentennial locomotive in the series, preceded by the GS-4 American Freedom Train No. 4449 and the Burlington Northern U30C “Spirit of ‘76” No. 1776. These schemes emulate the schemes the loco- motives wore in 1976. Also reissued is the Broadway Limited in the popular Tuscan five stripe. The GG1 Tuscan Red five stripe locomotive is priced at $149.00 and the Conrail “Bicentennial” No. 4800 is $160.00. For intermodal modelers, Kato is offering Gunderson 40-foot MAXI-I and 53-foot MAXI-IV double stack well cars. Containers can be mixed and matched with these cars for all kinds of interests. Features are a shock absorber suspension and a metal injection-molded frame for extra weight. Road names in five and three packs are BNSF, TTX, BNSF swoosh and Pacer Stacktrain.
