About the Green Belt Course
The term Green Belts is borrowed from martial arts. Green Belts refers to an individual who has mastered the basic skills of problem solving.
Green Belts are the “worker bees” in any Six Sigma project. They can do much of the legwork; from gathering data to executing experiments in support of Black Belt projects. They also oftentimes independently deliver small to medium scale improvement projects.
Green Belts must demonstrate proficiency in the core statistical tools by applying them for positive financial impact and customer benefits. They operate under the supervision and guidance of a Black Belt or a Master Black Belt in any organisation, the number of greenbelts typically exceeds the number of Black Belts by a minimum ratio of 5:1

All SSA Professional development seminars, e-Seminars, and webinars meet eligibility requirements for IACET Continuing Education Units (CEUs) according to the ANSI/IACET 1-2007 Standard. To receive CEUs, attendees are required to be engaged in the entire class and demonstrate mastery of the learning objectives by successfully completing a knowledge assessment.
Benefit To Participants: As the official standard for continuing education and training (CE/T), IACET Continuing Education Units (CEUs) are recognized by a wide range of organizations, including professional associations, regulatory boards, corporations and universities.
Many organizations offer some form of continuing education credit, but only the IACET CEU is held to the strict, research based IACET Criteria and Guidelines for Continuing Education and Training. Only IACET Authorized Providers, who undergo a strict application and site-review process, can award the IACET CEU.
About CEUs: The International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET) developed the CEU in 1970 and is the caretaker of the CEU. The Continuing Education Unit (CEU) serves as a measurement of continuing education. One (1) IACET CEU is equal to ten (10) contact hours of participation in an organized continuing education experience under
responsible sponsorship, capable direction, and qualified instruction. Under IACET's care, the IACET CEU has evolved from a quantitative measure to a hallmark of quality training and instruction. For more information on IACET, visit
