ISPO winners revealed in Munich

FOUR COMPANIES scooped the top prizes at the ISPO Munich show Awards last month, honouring the action, ski, outdoor and performance sectors. On Monday January 30th 18 award


winners, in addition to the four overall winners, received prizes, including for Eco Responsibility. Now Snowboarding received the top accolade of Overall Winner in the Action Segment, while Dupraz Sports D2 bagged the Overall Winner in the Ski Segment. Climbing-centric Edelrid Cable Vario’s via ferrata set won the Overall Winner Outdoor Segment prize. Among the overall winners was a


cycle-relevant product – the HIOD One by Swedish firm Free2Move. Using Bluetooth technology, HIOD allows cyclists to communicate while riding, beating 26 applicants and eight finalists. “Every one of the applications submitted was high quality,” said Tobias Gröber, head of Business Unit Consumer Goods Exhibitions at Messe München. “But the Overall Winner products are outstanding. Their innovation, design and performance have the potential to make a powerful impact on the market and

Slow start to winter
