EXECUTIVE HIRE SHOW PREVIEW continued

Bosch extends hammer line-up

2012 will see Bosch launch additions to its

range of heavy-duty rotary hammers, starting with the GBH 2-24 DF Professional 2kg SDS Plus model, which is claimed to offer a 25% increase in power and impact energy compared with its predecessor. New 8kg and 11kg machines will follow later in the year, but a special preview of the tools will be given to visitors on the manufacturer’s stand at the Show.

During 2012, Bosch will be commemorating 80 years of rotary hammer

manufacture, which started with the launch of the EH600 Professional model back in 1932.

SDMO

maintains its power

Taking centre stage on SDMO Energy’s stand will be two examples from its Rental

Compact range of generators, namely the R110C3 (100kVA) and the R33C3 (30kVA), designed to be fully compliant with the latest emissions regulations. Also on show will be the Perform 3000LPG, a 3.75kVA portable generator fitted with a Kohler engine designed for fuel economy, and which runs on LPG or petrol. New Japanese iPro 2000 and iPro 3000 inverter generators will be displayed, powered by Yamaha petrol engines and designed for quiet operation, and making its debut at the Show will be SDMO’s Diesel 6000 Ultimate, a 6.0kVA super- silent, fully bunded, professional site generator. Other products on the stand will include a Honda powered HX3000 3.0kVA portable petrol set, and a 4in Kohler diesel powered trash pump with a maximum outflow of 2000 litres per minute.

54 with MOBA

MOBA Mobile Automation will present its control

systems for earthmoving and road construction machinery, which include 2D/3D

excavator systems. Vision LINK is designed to provide versatile 2D features with basic 3D functionality, and can be upgraded to Vision 3D, which automatically determines the position of the bucket via GPS and creates 3D terrain models. The company’s levelling systems include the GS-506 and MOBA

3D products, which can be mounted on dozers, graders and other types of levelling blades. A modular concept allows quick upgrading from the GS-506 system to MOBA 3D, which is designed to enable complex construction plans to be implemented quickly and effectively. MOBA 3D works with GNSS antennas as well as with total stations. The MCA-1000 roller system will also be on show, developed for optimised material compaction of roads and tarmac.

Euro Towers steps up

Euro Towers will be exhibiting the new ‘anti- surf’ Stepfold Podium, which provides platform levels of 1 and 1.2m.

A version is also available with a maximum 1.4m platform level. Surfing describes a practice where a worker manoeuvres the equipment without first dismounting, and to prevent this, Euro Towers has included two fixed base plates on the unit. Using a specially designed telescopic guardrail frame, the user can gain access to the work area via integral step platforms. The product has a mechanism that allows it to fold flat, facilitating transportation and storage, and stabilisers are provided as standard. Demonstrations will be given on the company’s stand.
