After more than 60 years in the marketplace, we are celebrating ALCON Pumps amongst our ‘Best of British’ products with a new trade press advertising campaign for 2012.
ALCON’s high pressure pumps are perfect for pumping dirty water and slurry, tank filling, crop spraying and irrigation as well as for use with clean water and fuel oils. The range consists of submersible, residue, centrifugal, diaphragm and automatic priming pumps.

Their history dates back to the 1940’s with the first traceable reference to ALCON found relating to Chippindale Plant Hire Ltd: 1949: a company formed by Wilfred Chippindale with £100, working from home selling concrete mixers and scaffolding. Over the decades ALCON’s popularity grew and by the 1990’s sales had reached £1 million.
Today, they are used across a number of industries, particularly agriculture and aviation. Our advertising campaign for 2012 will help drive sales in these existing and trusted markets.
