Considerable investment has been made in specialist testing equipment at the Glasgow centre.
As well as explaining such operational benefits to visitors on its stand at the Executive Hire Show, Hilti will have a significant number of new and forthcoming products to tell hirers about. These will include the TE 700-AVR, a 7.9kg breaker with a quoted single impact energy level of 11.5 Joules and an HAV rating of 6.5m/s2
.
The tool, which supersedes the TE 706, can be fitted with the TE DRS-B dust removal system, which is designed to intercept 95% of potentially dangerous fine particles.
Also new will be the third-generation TE 60 combi hammer, which has a 1300watt motor and can be used with an adjustable dust removal system. The machine can accept Hilti’s new TE-Y-K percussion core bits, which have been designed for easier hole starting and faster performance. Details will also be given on new additions to the manufacturer’s 22V cordless tool platform, which is said to be proving particularly popular amongst hirers.
Hilti’s stand line-up will include its latest laser alignment tools and measuring systems, which the company believes represent a market with considerable untapped potential. These include the pocket sized PD 5, a simple laser range meter for distances up to 70m,
and the PS 1000 X-Scan for detecting objects up to 30cm deep in concrete structures. Also new is the POS 15 total station, which is
designed for taking rapid and straightforward measurements associated with laying out excavations and foundations, marking points on floor decks and facades, or finding positions for columns, and which has a large touch-screen display.
These tools have been designed so that non-specialists can undertake many on-site measuring tasks themselves, rather than having to call on other professionals. “This is another example of how choosing a more appropriate product can increase working efficiency and productivity, as well as getting the job done precisely,” said Jan Bo, “and these are the sort of benefits that we look forward to communicating to hirers at the Show.”
