EXECUTIVE HIRE SHOW PREVIEW

Your industry’s main event

The Executive Hire Show takes place on 8 and 9 February, and EHN’s preview proves that the event is the established launching pad for new hire industry products. Quite simply, you cannot afford to miss it.

Youngman’s tower of strength

Youngman will launch a new aluminium mobile tower, being a version that can also be lifted by crane as a fully assembled unit, and offering a choice of working heights from 4.2 to 10.2m. With a maximum load carrying capability of 950kg, the towers are erected and dismantled using either the 3T (through the trap) method or the advance guardrail system. They incorporate floating spigots for ease of assembly, colour coded brace locks and patented double-action locking claws. Visitors will be able to see the latest developments in the manufacturer’s Camlock advance

guardrail system, as well as the Adjusta-

Minit folding work platform. Also new will be a full colour version of Youngman’s solar powered, trailer-mounted variable message sign, which has an LED display and can show moving images.

Seddons’ Spring collection

Seddons (Plant & Engineers), with its subsidiary BrownPower, will exhibit several new products, including the Stihl TS500i disc cutter, Honda EG generators with digital AVR for professional use, dust

extraction units, and cold and hot water pressure washers from Karcher and Taskman. Honda’s latest engines, which now have a three year warranty, will also be displayed. The company’s Spring catalogue will be available for collection, including trade offers on grounds care machinery, construction equipment, engines, parts and petrol pressure washers. Other brands represented will include MBW, Yanmar engines, Winget and Husqvarna. Prizes can also be won in a wheel of fortune game on the stand.

Grasp ArcGen Hilta’s concept

ArcGen Hilta will display a ‘concept’ solar powered lighting tower, designated the SP-55, developed from its new environmentally friendly TL-90 LED model, which is a finalist in the Innovation Zone. The manufacturer says that, with no fuel being required and having silent running capabilities, the machine offers users a green solution with significantly reduced running costs. Visitors will have a preview of the Denyo 100kVA Eventer generator, which joins the existing 20 and 37kVA models. The machines are designed for very low noise levels and high fuel efficiency. The stand display will also include the new Hilta C150 Pro-Flo, designed and manufactured in the UK. This 6in centrifugal self-priming pump is a low pressure/high volume unit, developed for the moving or removal of high volumes of water.

Thwaites to launch 2 tonne model

Thwaites will unveil a new 4 wheel drive dumper, namely the compact 2 tonne Hi Swivel powered by a Yanmar 29hp diesel engine. Measuring 1467mm wide, it is designed for work in confined spaces and has a turning circle of 7.4m. The machine has a load over height of 2m.

Also on display will be Thwaites’ 1 tonne Hip Tip dumper with hydrostatic drive and automotive controls, and the pedestrian controlled 4 wheel drive Micro dumper.
