n a beautiful autumn afternoon, over 600 alumni, students, staff, and neighbors visited Loyola’s Retreat and Ecology Campus for tours, activities, and food, some of which was grown on-site on a student-run, eco-friendly


farm. The first annual Harvest Fest, held October 23 at the new campus in Bull Valley, Illinois, was the public debut of the facility, which offers retreats, student leadership development opportunities, sustainability programs, organic farming internships, ecology courses, and more. Attendees toured the retreat building and explored the 100 acres of woodlands, farmland, wetlands, and rolling hills.
