Murial Hawkins (PhD ’89) has been named associate provost for Partnerships and Engagement at Virginia State University. She will be “responsible for leading and serv- ing as executive officer on various university projects as assigned by the provost or president.”


Michael P. Kessler (BA ’89) recently married Violet Espinosa. They were married at Queen of All Saints Ba- silica in Chicago.


Br. Larry S. Schatz , FSC (MPS ’89), was named to the board of trustees for Christian Brothers University.


Darla J. Vogelsang, OSU (MPS ’89), an Ursuline Sister of the Ursuline Sisters of Youngstown, Ohio, is celebrating her 50th year as a sister. Sr. Vogelsang is a Catholic Chaplain for Humility of Mary Health Partners. Prior to becoming a chaplain, she served as an elementary teacher and as a principal in Youngstown. She has also served in parish pastoral minis- try and previously served as assistant director of the Ursuline Center and in full-time ministry at the Ursuline Motherhouse.
