[ Project focus:The Quadrant:MK ]

Safety at work For LMOB, engagement with BAM and its other supply chain partners has been, and will continue to be, an integral part of delivering the project successfully. Regular site meetings and updates have ensured that

all parties are fully up to speed with any health and safety issues. Marry explains: ‘One of the most refreshing elements of working at The Quadrant:MK has been the level of cooperation on-site. Bureaucracy has been minimised and the safety committee has a practical and, I would suggest, sensible, approach to dealing with this important issue. Senior management and contractors work together in a true spirit of collaboration and transfer of knowledge.’

Final destination The final word goes to Tim Coucher, Network Rail project director for the project, who concludes: ‘The Quadrant:MK will be a place which inspires our people, and I know it will be a fabulous place to work. We’ve managed to combine cutting edge design with the latest in environmentally friendly features, culminating in a light, bright, energy efficient building of which Network Rail, Milton Keynes and all those working on it, including LMOB, should be very proud.’
