As part of the Renewables Roadshow, the fi rst ever Renewables Awards took place at Coventry’s Ricoh Arena on 8 September. Hosted by Countryfi le’s Julia Bradbury, and with comedian Michael McIntyre as guest speaker,


the Awards showcased the best in the renewable technologies industry. Judged by a panel of industry


experts, the entries were split into 17 categories, including Renewables Installer of the Year.


■ Commercial Renewables Project – Hendra Holiday Park, Newquay (EOS Energy). ■ Residential Renewables Project – Trinity Close, Norwich (Dove Jeffery Homes). ■ Renewables Client – Castle Howard Estate (nominated by Dimplex Renewables). ■ Contribution to Renewables – Andy Buchan (Cotswold Effi cient Energy Centre). ■ New MCS Installer – Barry Primett (Source Heat Pumps). ■ Renewables Safety Initiative – Scaffolding Golden Rules (British Gas Solar). ■ Renewables Training Initiative – SWAAT Training Academy (South West Assessment And Training). ■ Green Invention – Clearly Hybrid (Glow-worm).


■ Commercial Installer – EOS Energy. ■ Water Effi cient Installer – Natural Power UK. ■ Heat Effi cient Installer – ICE Energy Technologies. ■ Energy Management Installer – Intelligent Energy Solutions. ■ Biomass Installer – Econergy. ■ Air Source Installer – Azure Natural Energy Systems. ■ Ground Source Installer – Ground Heat Installations. ■ Solar Installer – Evo Energy. ■ Renewables Installer – Ground Heat Installations.
