Issue 31 / September 2011 SUNBEATZ 7th-14th September @ Ibiza

Sunbeatz was originally thought up in the early 1990s when Mickey Finn, the creator, was sat outside Café Mambo surrounded by house, trance and techno. Though the parties were incredible he realised that the music he was passionate about just wasn’t being catered for. There and then, the idea to create the first ever drum and bass holiday

was born. Fast forward to 2010 and the first Sunbeatz arrived in full swing, instantly creating a formidable reputation as one of the best drum and bass events in the world. Fabio went as far as saying that it “restored my faith in the scene”. The opening night kicks off with an almighty boat party, followed up by a four-venue-takeover including

Eden and Es Paradise for five nights of wall to wall drum and bass. The line-up already has a host of DJs including Fabio, Camo & Krooked and Nicky Blackmarket and this is only the beginning!

WHAT

NOT TO DO AT A FESTIVAL

Everyone has probably made at least one rookie festival error this summer... We suggest you take note and be prepared for next time.

1. Forget toilet paper. You will reap the consequences

2. Take too many drugs. No-one likes to nurse a person who thinks that they are going to die; it’s a buzz kill

3. Throw up/piss/sh*t in your own tent. The tent is your only place of solace; DON’T shoot yourself in the foot (or should we say, shit on your foot)

4. Get your weed nicked ‘cos you passed out “boshing bare pills and ting”

5. Have sex in a Portaloo. It’s just gross
