he Xpres Cut Plus system is a superb example of how versatile and cost-effective digital transfer technology can prove to be for the garment

This package combines the best-selling Xpres Cut vinyl cutter with an ink jet printer. As well as producing single and multi colour logos, the addition of a printer enables the cutter to assist in the production of full colour, fine detail transfers. The printing capability of this system is a real highlight and offers significant benefits over embroidery as even the smallest fonts and detailed artwork are perfectly reproduced. Another major advantage of the Xpres Cut Plus system is that graduations of colour are achievable that cannot be accurately produced with other forms of garment decoration. Transfers produced with this system can be applied with a heat press to any colour poly/cotton, cotton or polyester garment and are durable enough to withstand high temperature washing, dry cleaning and can also be tumble dried. They can be stretched with no damage to the decoration, unlike some screen printing inks that will crack on exertion making it ideal for work wear, corporate wear and sports wear applications.

Excellent profit margins are easily attainable thanks to the low consumable and production costs. As an example, it is possible to produce a one-off full colour breast pocket logo for around £0.12. The Roland Versacamm is the worldʼs biggest selling integrated printer and cutter designed for fast, accurate digital cutting and printing in one single device – perfect for larger volume production runs. This wide format machine is truly the most versatile technology available to garment decorators today and essential for any business looking to extend their current offer. By using differing types of media, the Versacamm will

XPRES

Xpres supply a huge choice of sublimation gifts, including mugs, mousemats and coasters.

The low cost/high profit potential offered by digital transfer systems has proven to be a hugely popular option for garment decorators looking to capitalise on the growing market for one-offs and low volume runs of personalised clothing and photo gifts. As the cost of technology required to fulfil this demand has fallen significantly in recent years, Xpres have seen increasing numbers of garment decorators incorporating new and additional digital transfer systems into their business in order to generate add-on sales.

quickly and expertly produce a hugely diverse range of output including heat transfers for clothing and accessories, banners and posters, vehicle graphics and window stickers.

Since introducing their first sublimation system 30 years ago, Xpres has seen a dramatic growth in the use of sublimation technology in the promotional products sector. The market for photo gifts alone has grown hugely in recent years helped in no small part by digital camera technology.

When personalising promotional products, a key benefit that sublimation printing has over screen or pad printing is that one-offs and low volume runs can be produced both quickly and profitably. Xpres supply a huge choice of sublimation gifts with everything from best-selling classics like mugs, mousemats and coasters to manicure sets and luggage tags. A number of new products have recently been introduced to the range including vanity mirrors, keyrings, and for sports-related promotions, water bottles and towels. Xpres offer a choice of two sublimation printers – the Epson 1400 and the Ricoh GX7000. The Epson 1400 can produce A4 and A3 sublimation transfers and the feeder system enables low cost production. It comes equipped with templates for all Xpres consumables and a colour profile. The Ricoh GX7000 offers a superb solution for sublimation by using high capacity cartridges in place of a bulk feed system. Offering an improved print speed, the GX7000 gives outstanding print quality and ink clogging is minimised as the ink is ejected with increased pressure. It is supplied with a self-cleaning print head that is three times the size of a conventional ink jet printer. To complete your digital transfer system Xpres has a wide range of heat presses for transfer application, all providing absolute consistency of temperature and pressure that are essential for successful results. ■For more information or to arrange an appointment for a demonstration, contact Xpres Customer Services on 01332 85 50 85 or visit www.xpres.co.uk
