Fashion meets performance in new Sherpa hat B
eechfield has expanded its Autumn/Winter collection with the introduction of the new B345
Sherpa Hat.
“The Sherpa Hatʼs trendy looks and contemporary colourways, make it an ideal winter fashion headwear style. However, the new style offers more than fashionable looks: it is made to perform, making it equally well-suited to a wide range of cold weather outdoor activities. The hat would look equally at home on a college campus, outdoor music festival or upland hike. Itʼs natural home, perhaps, is the ski resort, where it will provide reliable weather protection on the slopes and kudos at any après-ski event,” Beechfieldʼs Roger McHugh comments. The B345 features a waterproof 100% nylon Taslon outer, quilted lining, and drop down earflaps with chinstrap. The faux fur trim to the front panel and earflaps gives the hat an authentic appearance, and provides welcome extra comfort and insulation.
The self-fabric adjustable chinstrap is closed via rugged plastic snap fasteners. These can be fastened under the chin, for maximum warmth, or on top of the crown, to create a trapper hat style. The front panel is fastened by elastic loops and twin buttons on the crown, and is

designed to provide easy access for decoration.
The B345 Sherpa Hat is available in three colours – black, light grey and orange – and two sizes, S/M and L/XL. Beechfield has further strengthened its Autumn/Winter headwear collection with the introduction of new colourways in popular fashion styles. The B448 Peaked Beanie is now also available in oatmeal, the B461 Slouch Beanie now comes in core colourway, French navy, and the colour palette of the B463 Classic Tassel
The three styles were launched last year to give promotional customers access to the best-selling fashion styles in the retail market. The B448 Peaked Beanie adds a short, pre-curved peak and deep turn up to the classic beanie design, the B461 features an over-size crown and relaxed slouch fit, and the B463 adds a polyester microfleece lining and signature twin tassels, plus contrast colour decorative stitching and bobble on the top of the crown, to the standard Peru Hat style. Beechfield has invested heavily in the development of its Autumn/Winter offering in recent years, which has seen the number of cold-weather styles increase to 20 this year. These range from the basic (and best-selling) B45 Knitted Hat, to the B471 Teamwear Beanie (in a palette of popular team colours), and B920 Morf Suprafleece (a supremely versatile item of insulating headwear). They also include another new addition for 2011, the B445 Printers Beanie, which features a cotton twill patch on the ribbed cuff (turn-up) to allow for easy printability. ■ For more information visit

Getting the most from your marketing budget P
romotional merchandise offers more exposure and value for money than any other advertising medium. With the right product you can ensure that your brand gains maximum exposure.
Opting for an item that provides a use for your customers means that it is likely to be kept and used time and time again, with each time your target audience is reminded of your brand or key message. Desktop items such as mouse mats, coasters and mobile phone holders are ideal.
Promotional mugs are also popular and best selling items within the industry. They have a high perceived value and your message is seen not only by the person drinking from the mug, but also by others around them.
Fridge magnets provide an excellent opportunity to get your message into the homes of your target audience. Think about how many times a fridge door is opened every day! Their lightweight and low cost attributes make them perfect for mailings or on/in-pack promotions. They act as a reminder of your product or service and are ideal for councils, schools, take- away restaurants, FMCG and much more.
USB flashdrives are another increasingly popular promotional gift; almost every home and business has a use for them. Listawood are one of the largest manufacturers and suppliers of promotional merchandise in Europe. Their 70,000 sq ft base is equipped with a wide array of printing and finishing equipment. “Due to investment in state-of-the-art, highly automated machinery we are able to offer price points traditionally associated with Far East sourcing on a variety of UK manufactured products, including fridge magnets and mouse mats,” comments Alex Turner, managing director.

Listawood believe that branded merchandise is much more
effective than traditional branding methods. For example, for the cost of a small advert in the local press you can purchase around 500 mouse mats which will occupy a prime position in front of your customer. ■ For more information call 01485 529100 or visit
