&R is pleased to announce an all-new M&R Forums website for screen and digital printers. Rich

Hoffman, M&Rʼs CEO, said that it is, in many ways, a user-designed site. “We asked Forum members what they wanted, and our design team put in long hours over many months bringing those ideas to life. If initial feedback is any indication, we accomplished what we set out to do.”

In addition to normal online exchanges, the new site enables Forums members to: ■ Buy, sell, and post want ads in the Classifieds & Auctions section;

■ Sound off in the Forums Shoutbox (an always-on chat room);

■ Create special-interest groups and customised user groups;

■ Author blogs; ■ Set up photo galleries; ■ Customise the Forums experience with a variety of skins;

■ Read articles by industry veterans; ■ Take advantage of industry—and personal—calendars and

■ Follow T Shirt-Printing Tweets. However, more changes are in the pipeline.

According to Thad Hutton, leader of the design team, The M&R Forums is designed to speed and simplify future changes. “Weʼre constantly looking for ways to expand the siteʼs capabilities— and our members continue to make requests and offer suggestions.” ■ The M&R Forums website can be found at http://forums.mrprint.com

Promo products show cancelled

Rexpro GmbH, an alliance with Het Portaal Uitgevers (PromZ) and Reed Exhibitions (PSI), have cancelled the proPSI European trade fair for the promotional products sector which was to be held in Amsterdam this month. John Swaab and Michael Freter said: “It looked as if the trade fair as a whole was not going to satisfy our criteria for quality. A major factor in this is the current economic situation. “We are very grateful to the companies and organisations that have supported pro (later proPSI) since it began. But pro

was contending with difficult conditions right from its start in 2008: first the financial crisis and then the economic crisis. Unfortunately, pro was launched at an ill-fated period of time. “We are convinced that the idea of holding a second opportunity for European interaction at the beginning of the last quarter of the year, when suppliers and distributors have a lot of news to share, is still a good idea. For this reason, we do not rule out the possibility of reviving proPSI in better times.”
