The Do-It-Yourself Cheetah Chicken Chariot Project


Cheetah Power Chief Engineer, Dave Pioli,  wanted a coop that he could move around.  the chicken manure, and to avoid the need to scoop poop from the coop. He created a very easy to build portable chicken coop.


We asked Dave to create a version of his chicken chariot that a team of people could build in less than six hours. We use this to teach team Cheetah Project Management and our students can use it as a project for the 60 PDU 


 Chicken Chariot as a team building activity. The team included two new hires for Cheetah Publishing, Ryan Cummings and Kathy   of Cheetah Learning, Jean Steinmetz, PMP. According to Ryan Cummings, it was a great way to get introduced to his new coworkers and learn about the culture of Cheetah from two of the company leaders. Dave Pioli, the design engineer of the Chicken Chariot, was there to  the chicken chariot plans.


The team built two chicken coops over two days. One was made for the corporate retreat center and the other Jean took home. Jean is now raising 12 baby chicks for both coops.
