KLAFS has combined health and fun to create a children’s spa facility in collaboration with Steigenberger Hotel Group.
The Steigenberger Hotel Gstaad-Saanen in Switzerland has dedicated an entire floor of its Spa Luxury World, which is spread across three storeys, to children alone. The 150sq m area offers a range of facilities and treatments for children including a tree- themed sauna with a mild temperature of 40 degrees, which acts as a gentle introduction to the spa experience. To cool down, there is a water grotto with
an adventure shower featuring soft tropical raindrops or sudden thunder and lightning, and a waterfall. Children can then test their sense of smell at a smelling organ before relaxing in hammocks, sofas and in swinging gondolas. After the relaxation the circulation is
stimulated again in the mountain hut where children can play tennis, golf or football on Wii consoles. They can also climb to the top of the steep climbing wall into a small cave below the ceiling. Children of 12 years and older can explore the other spa storeys in the company of an adult, which includes a panorama sauna with a mountain view, an aroma samarium or a herbal steam bath.

and converted to house the new facility, which officially launched in January. Cheshire Wellness installed a 20m x 8.5m bespoke swimming pool with a grand curved stepped entrance and a constant depth of 1.3m as well as a therapy pool featuring air loungers, body massage
stations, swan neck cannons and hydrotherapy seats. The company also designed and
installed 13 thermal rooms including two saunas, three steam rooms, a caldarium, ice fountain, Turkish Hamman, mud rasul, experience showers and a salt room with shell mosaics and a salt block wall. Other facilities include a gym, treatment rooms and relaxation areas.
