EPU has so far educated more than 1,000 students from more than 100 different countries, many coming from conflict areas. The faculty – all experts in their fields both in theory and practice – also come from all over the world, including crisis regions. University Information: St. Pölten University of Applied Sciences was founded in 1996 and runs degree programmes in three academic disciplines: Health and Social Sciences, Business, and Technology.
The teaching is vocationally orientated and puts an emphasis on practical experience. Teaching is by lectures, project work and small tutorial groups.
The facilities of St. Pölten UAS include a library, an audio and video studio, and numerous labs. The students run their own radio and TV stations.
