Vive la France! Vive ITCA!

Bonjour and bonne année! Once again, Nice welcomes ITCA to its sunny shores. This year is a very different ITCA event with all eyes on exhibiting and networking. Cocktail parties on the first two evenings will be held in the Exhibition Hall as will

the Mercurys on the final day. A complete guide to the Show and Exhibitors

appears inside this issue and there will be absolutely no need to leave the floor for one minute as all and everything will take place in the same location. The very positive message from the US and Canada brings news of a revival

in air passenger numbers and an increase in profits for the airline industry (see Four Corners). Let’s hope that growth is infectious and spreads worldwide. More good news in this month’s feature on Ancillary Revenue comes in the form of increased income opportunities for airlines through mobile technology and seat-back sales. Fresh, simple and visually good food at a low price seems to be the recipe

for success in 2011 (see Aussie Food Trends) and at a time when we are all watching our waistbands and wallets, nothing could make more sense. That is, of course, if you dare to avert your eyes away from our delicious front cover! And while we all guzzle our way through the latest fads and innovations being brought to market in our New Products section, spare a thought for the environment and see what is being done to reduce our garbage in this issue’s Green pages. Martin Steady, Sue, Rachel and Jo look forward to seeing you in Nice.
