Veterinary hospital aids war dogs When a stockpile of vital supplies


intended for the bomb-sniffing dogs of the Eleventh Marine Artillery Regiment in Afghanistan was destroyed, the lac- tated Ringer’s solution (LRS) fluids that kept dogs hydrated during the intense 120° summer days were lost. When the team at Aspen Meadow


Veterinary Specialists in Longmont, Colo., learned about the situation, it sprang into action. Within weeks, the team raised thousands of dollars to provide LRS fluids and the supplies needed to administer them. The hospital got involved because


the regiment’s kennel master, Staff Sergeant Matthew Hill, is from
