for navigation in ice. LOS 116 and 118 are twin screw, 17m, boats based on an existing hull design which was already proven in the Norwegian Pilotage Organisation. Number 119 has been reserved for a third unit of the ice-going type. Te three most recent vessels, LOS 120

OS 115 and 117 are single screw, 16.5m loa vessels, capable of 22kts that are strengthened

Te vessel specification includes all the state-of-the-art features including
heated decks, boarding platforms and hand rails, a heavy-duty fender system and the Docksta trade mark; a resiliently mounted deckhouse with a noise level of around 63db(A) inside at full speed. The raised wheelhouse is fitted with a twin-station conning arrangement and seating for three pilots. Te saloon on main-deck level has a toilet room, pantry and sofa arrangement seating for up to five additional pilots. The boats are fitted with a 10kVA Perkins/ Stamford diesel generator for the 3 x 220V AC system supporting domestic loads and a Servex air-condition/ ventilation/defrost system.
