Materials Sound damping
sandwich steel Te Swedish company Antiphon AB has introduced its latest product on to the market for structure-borne sound damping, the Antiphon MPM. Antiphon MPM (metal-polymer-metal) foiled; is a
sheet metal laminate with a thin foil on one side. Te core material comprises two pieces of zinc-coated sheet steel, laminated with an acoustic inner layer to obtain the best structure-borne sound damping. MPM has laminated sandwich systems for more visible environments and has chosen MPM foiled as a decoration material where sound damping is to be used. MPM foiled is used when the demands for appearance as well as function are high. Aluminium is also an option as core material. MPM foiled has the same qualities as the traditional
MPM and is used to reduce vibrations and structure- borne sound without increasing the weight of the construction and at the same time replace already existing materials. MPM foiled is available in a wide variety of foil surfaces, colours and patterns. The thinnest sheet is 1.04mm where the system
consists of two 0.5mm thickness sheet steel, laminated with a 0.04mm acoustic inner layer. For aluminium minimum thickness is 1.44mm. Maximum thickness is 6.1mm. MPM foiled is delivered in format sizes of maximum dimension 1250 x 3000mm. MPM foiled can be worked with methods normally used within the industry to cut, press and punch. MPM foiled can be recycled as standard sheet steel.

In addition to this application the Fibrelight Cradle can be used as a scramble net or boarding ladder to climb into the boat or disembark safely in an emergency, and can assist with casualty recovery from trenches, ditches and other similar locations.

enclosure, the kit includes a Microsoſt Excel add-in for easy data import into blank worksheets or Excel templates. In addition, software is supplied for generating reports and transferring data between the gauge and computer. Te unit has a three-year warranty and multiple echo technique to give accurate measurements through coatings.
