a cooperation agreement concluded in 2009 between Fintry Marine Design AG and Kockums AB (part of TyssenKrupp Marine Systems). MPV23 represented the first in a series of 10 newbuild, latest generation MPVs. Kraus Vorwerk, managing director Fintry Marine Design AG, said of the series: “It consists of an 18m crew catamaran, a 20m service catamaran and the 23m multi-purpose catamaran, with a further 38m vessel under development.” Modern drives combined with a

conditions. FINTRY CarboCATs can operate equally well in coastal areas as in wind parks up to 100nm offshore. The construction phase for the
18m CTV18 catamaran will begin in September, while the MPV23 is set to be completed in August this year. Both CarboCAT catamarans are built to comply with the requirements of DNV 1A1 HSLC R2 Crew. The CarboCAT 18 is primarily designed to operate as a service and supply vessel in the vicinity of offshore installations. The cooperation between the two
companies sees Kockums AB contributing decades of experience and expertise in composite shipbuilding, while Fintry Marine Design AG is responsible for concept development.
