If you have a flare for creativity and dramatic makeup, this class is for you! We’ll teach you how to create that flawless and authentic pin up girl look. You will also learn glamour looks that you would find in magazines and print ads. We will show you how to contour, highlight, and spice up a look with color and false lashes. This class is geared to focus on the artistic and technical end of professional makeup artistry to land you a job in the entertainment industry. You will learn flawless makeup application techniques for different mediums such as HDTV, photography, music videos, and film. Learn how to create a seam- less makeup that will look superb through the camera. Proper products and airbrushing will be discussed. Please bring foundation and concealer to class. This comprehensive 50-hour course will prepare students to enter the pharmacy field and take the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board’s PTCB exam. Technicians work in hospitals, home infusion pharmacies, community pharmacies and other health- care settings - working under the supervision of a registered pharmacist. Course content includes medi- cal terminology specific to the pharmacy, reading and interpreting prescriptions and defining drugs by generic and brand names. Students will learn dosage calculations, I.V. flow rates, drug compounding, dose conversions, dispensing of prescriptions, inventory control and billing, and reimbursement. Tuition includes textbook. Students enrolling less than 7 days prior to the start date may not have textbook on first day of class. This course is taught by Palomar College’s Registered Dental Assisting Program instructors and will award a Pit and Fissure Certifi- cate upon successful completion. The course will consist of 3 8-hour days (4 hours lecture, 4 hours lab, and 16 hours clinical instruction).
