Ferreira will walk you through the basics preparing divorce paperwork, creating a plan to co-parent your children, reaching agreements and finalizing your settlement. Certified Divorce Financial Analyst Tammy R. Ferreira will discuss strate- gies for support and property division that will keep you out of court and out of the poorhouse. Learn how to: prepare and file court documents to initiate your case; create a temporary plan that will reduce anxiety and increase cooperation between you and your spouse; obtain temporary sup- port, custody and property orders; argue your case in court if necessary; negotiate settlement of property and long-term child and spousal support; use financial analysis to avoid costly errors; negotiate and draft agreements on how you will share parenting responsibilities with your co-parent; deal with and utilize attorneys, psychologists, custody evaluators, accountants and other professionals; finalize your case by filing the appropriate judgment package. With 35 years in the legal field, registered and bonded as a legal document assis- tant and notary public, Virginia Rarra will explain why it is essential to have your wishes in writing and who should have a copy of your will, as well as the proper way to make your own will. Take control of your own estate without the high cost of an attorney. Using materials written by attor- neys, the instructor will teach you how to: write a valid written will, avoid probate, change your will, correctly validate your will, and establish guardian- ship provisions using a will.
