Learn the basics of watercolor before you attempt a painting. This class will prepare the beginner with dozens of important fundamen- tals and techniques necessary to make a clean, fresh and creative watercolor painting. Tie-dyed art is back! In this fun, one-day workshop you’ll create and take home 5 tie-dyed creations! We’ll cover a variety of styles and patterns, concentrating on dye application and tying procedures. Before you know it, you’ll be making colorful, custom creations for yourself and your friends and family. Please bring 5 t-shirts (100% cotton, pre-washed) and rubber kitchen gloves. $25 (cash only) materials fee will be collected in class to cover the cost of dyes and other supplies.

Day 1 will cover mixing of cold-water reactive dyes and mordant bath (bring small lidded containers to take home dyes and bath). Day 2 will be dying. A materials fee will be determined at the first class.
