Scottish Power has sold its commercial landholding


in Avonmouth, Bristol division to


Walters Land Ltd, the development and regeneration


of the Walters


Group.The site, situated alongside the River Severn, is approximately 113 acres and will be known as Severnbanks. Walters Land intends to target low density occupiers and land hungry requirements. Alder King and Avison Young have been


retained by Walters Land to market the available opportunities.


Andrew Ridler, head of industrial and logistics agency at Alder King, commented: “The scheme is situated within one of the region’s prime logistics locations and will provide opportunities for a sector which has traditionally found it difficult to secure space.”


Legal & general’s UK property fund acquires bristol office building for £27.75m


LGIM Real Assets (Legal & General) on behalf of its UK Property Fund (“the Fund”) has completed the acquisition of Quayside Bristol from DAS and ERGO for £27.75M. Following the UK Property Fund’s launch in 2006, the Fund has grown from £100m to over £3.2bn today as it continues to see steady capital investment from retail investors.

Finzels Reach is a new waterfront neighbourhood in Bristol being developed by Cubex with funding from Fiera Real Estate. Recycling compliance business Ecosurety is relocating to there, marking the letting of the final office suite at its historic Fermentation Buildings. The company, which is currently based at Aztec West, will join Channel 4, Historic England, English Heritage and creative studio Outlaw in this newly renovated heritage space. Ecosurety takes 3,370 sq ft on the first floor, overlooking Temple Cross.


The shareholders in the Bristol & Avon Transport & Recycling Ltd., a subsidiary of B & A Group (“Bristol & Avon”) have acquired 6.5 acres at Delta Properties’ recently released extension of Central Park, Bristol, at Severn Road in Avonmouth. The deal marks the first deal in 2020 and the fifth sale in this current phase of Delta Properties’ developments in Bristol, following outstanding success in completing Central Park with occupiers including The Range, Amazon, DHL and Lidl. The first phase of the Severn Road development, comprising just under 50 acres, benefits from the same extant planning consents which are in place at Central Park.


Whitefriars, one of Bristol’s landmark office buildings, is fully now let following a £1.5 million refurbishment. The last two available office suites have been let to Edgecumbe Consulting Group Ltd and IMD Group Limited. Edgecumbe Consulting, a leading UK-based psychology practice, is expanding their operations and moving into a 1,492 sq ft suite from the Whitefriars Business Centre, and management and business consultants, IMD Group Limited, is moving into the last remaining office suite of 3,103 sq ft.


Whitefriars, which totals 140,000 sq. ft., is located in the heart of the City and Hartnell Taylor Cook, working as joint agents with JLL and Burston Cook have let over 30,000 sq ft in the building since the completion of the refurbishment.
