Penrhos Business Units, Holyhead Wales

Ten modern business units will soon be made available on the Penrhos Business Park in Holyhead, Anglesey which is one of the Welsh Government’s Anglesey Enterprise Zones and is home to a number of well-known companies.

The Business Park is located approximately one mile south of Holyhead town centre, the port and railway station and is accessible from Junction 2 of the A55 expressway via the A5153.

The redevelopment of the former heliport into business units will provide 30,000 sq. ft. of office, light industrial and storage space to enable business growth and support of the low carbon energy sector.

The units will be ready late Summer 2020 and will include office space, W.C, store room and workshop and have been approved for B1 (office), B2 (light industrial) and B8 (storage) use. The units will benefit from PV solar panels and electric vehicle charging points will also be situated on the site.

A total of £2.3m from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) has been awarded by the Welsh European Funding Office (WEFO), and in a first for Anglesey, an innovative joint venture worth £1.6m has been agreed with the Welsh Government in order to develop the site.

The units will complement other EU backed business premises on the Island, including the new businesses developments on the Bryn Cefni Business Park in Llangefni and the Menai Science Park, in Gaerwen.
