HDD ANNOUNCES LAND DEAL A
NEW APPOINTMENT AT CAXTONS K
supermarket, hotel and a care home are set to be developed in a multi-million pound project following exchange of contracts to purchase three plots of land in Kent by Birmingham-based Henry Davidson Developments (HDD).
Subject to planning being obtained the development located to the South of the historic market town of Faversham, unveiled today by HDD, will include a 20,000 sq.ft unit for a discount food operator, an 80-bed Hotel, and a 66-bed luxury care home for the elderly for LNT Care Developments. The completed development will have a gross development value of around £14.7 million. Dozens of jobs for local people will be created during construction and at the new facilities once the project is completed.

HDD has exchanged contracts to acquire the land from Hallam Land Management, part of the Henry Boot Group and Vendors FK Kemsley & Sons Ltd,
who were jointly advised by Strutt & Parker. The site is adjacent to a residential development being delivered by national house builder Barratt Homes. They are due to start building the first of 310 new homes in mid 2018.
HDD specialises in retail-led and mixed-use developments. The
company recently completed major retail-led mixed-use developments at Didcot in Oxfordshire, and Newton Leys in Milton Keynes.
SPECSAVERS SEEN IN STROOD S
pecsavers Optical Superstores Ltd has agreed a ten-year lease on 58 High Street Strood – a prominent retail property
marketed by Caxtons Chartered Surveyors. One of the Medway Towns, Strood is well positioned close to the M2 and all routes north and south. It is north of the River Medway, just 10 miles from the county town of Maidstone and five miles to the west of Gillingham.

Chilmington Green is a new, mixed use community comprising 5,750 quality new homes which will be built out over the next 20 years, providing much needed homes for Ashford's growing population. Chilmington Green will also boast its own high street, a secondary school, four primary schools, a park and extensive areas of green space. It will also provide up to 1,000 new jobs.

Mike, a registered valuer, joins Caxtons after a long and successful career that has included both the public and private sectors. portfolio management and development for Wisley Property Group and was Chief Executive of Albourne Housing Association where his role included site acquisition and development, managing projects through planning and arranging funding. Most recently, Mike was Managing Director at Porters Chartered Surveyors in Maidstone. Mike will be engaged in a range of professional surveying
work but principally, valuations, development site appraisals, rent reviews, lease renewals and other landlord and tenant matters. He will work across the region, but predominantly in mid and west Kent, south east London and south Essex. Mike is a Freeman of the City of London, a keen cricketer and
