GLASGOW AND NORTH LANARKSHIRE ESTATES OVERVIEW

ollowing a quiet end to 2017, and a slow January, February 2018 has brought a definite upturn in enquiries for our Glasgow and North Lanarkshire estates. This may be a sign that the regional economy continues to move on but also, we hear, that Landlords are now proceeding with

happening in the market generally. Reflecting this, we find most enquiries come from local small-medium sized businesses though we are increasingly contacted regularly by ‘first-time’ renters. Often these are sole-traders who have


outgrown operating from a van and lock-up and now need a shed, but also personal training / gym start-ups. If we had an estate full of 1,000-2,000 square foot units, then I


am sure there would be a long waiting list. At Flemington Industrial Park,


...we find most enquiries come from local small-medium sized businesses though we are increasingly contacted regularly by ‘first-time’ renters. Often these are sole- traders who have outgrown operating from a van and lock-up and now need a shed, but also personal training / gym start-ups.


Motherwell, we haven’t quite managed to match these with the 6,595 and 8,431 sq.ft industrial units, or 31,783 sq.ft secure yard, which are available. We also have an office block situated within the estate, with one remaining 2,395 sq.ft suite available – it is good value space, so we hope to dispose of that soon too. Aside from leasing and letting we always try to work with our occupiers so continue with the usual round of asset management initiatives, including extensions and re- gears.


Meanwhile at Burntbroom Court, situated within the wider Queenslie Industrial Estate, Glasgow, we have just let a 4,582 sq.ft unit to Pro Delivery Group. We have our last available unit here under offer and hope to be fully let by the end of March. Queenslie is a great distribution area, so it will be good to see our estate being fully utilised.


Overall, here at In-site we are positive as what 2018-19 will bring.
