Situated on the southern edge of the Brecon Beacons overlooking picturesque Welsh scenery, Steelhouse prides itself on being the UK’s highest music weekender. With its festival grounds on the side of a mountain, it’s like something from The Hobbit – and this year Ace Frehley [pictured], original lead guitarist of Kiss, is Thorin. The lineup in general is manna for hard and/or classic rock fans, mind: over 11 years, Steelhouse has grown from a grassroots seed to what it is today, and remains a welcoming platform for new bands. All bar one of 2022’s performers are making their Steelhouse debut, impressively.
