These3streams, Om Shanti F*ck, Ian Rankin, Novello And Son, Druidstone Folk Fest, Violet, The Devil’s Violin, Blu Hydrangea, Pete Tong, Wales Contemporary International Open Competition, The Proclaimers and Tafwyl. None of those words are in the Bible! Apart from “devil”. And “the”.

Fifty years ago, David Bowie wrote the song All The Young Dudes, and then gave it to Mott The Hoople instead of putting it on Ziggy Stardust. So while it isn’t germane to our celebration of that LP’s half-century, you might say we have ‘all the young dudes’ elsewhere in this section: Jack Savoretti, Rhod Gilbert, A-ha, Paloma Faith, Gwenno. This section is even more wholesome and uplifting than normal this month thanks to two do-gooder coffee shops (by which I mean they’re doing good), a profile of women making waves in the Welsh food scene, and an interview with the founder of Out & Wild, a queer women’s wellness retreat no less.

Some of these events have had people’s fortunes pumped into them and have kept people up at night to make them come to fruition. Some of those attending will have the course of their lives changed in some way as a result. And we’ve described those events in about 10 words. We’re economical like that.
