The return of this annual, multi-terrain race over 24 miles of Llanwrtyd Wells countryside, testing both human and equine endurance to its limits. The sometimes boggy, often hilly marathon goes back to June 1980 where it was started by Gordon Green – landlord of the Neuadd Arms Hotel, where the race still begins. With many changes put in place to make the race as fair for man and horse alike, only two runners have beaten their four-legged opponents. It can be done, but who will be the next to conquer this shared, unusual track?
