Arnold Evans’ play combines the songs of Welsh compos- er Ivor Novello and the drama of his renowned mother, Madame Clara Novello Davies, who sings his beloved musical numbers. A portrayal into their mother-son re- lationship is thus centre-stage, as Davies comes to terms with her own advancing age, the changing world and the complex relationship she has with her son.
