Ben Faircloth: In My Room / By The River Stopmotion animated short films, paintings and interactive works depicting an abstract, sinister view into smalltown life. It’s sort of based on Machynlleth it seems. (Until Thurs 28 July) Salon Des Refusés Showcase of work that was not selected for Y Lle Celf, this year’s Eisteddfod art exhibition. The title references a French show of the same name, and with a similar ‘those dusty old bigwigs didn’t rate this’ concept, in the 1860s which featured Manet and Whistler among others. Currently based in Machynlleth, Faircloth is an Aberystwyth School Of Art graduate and, way before that, was the bass player in The Hot Puppies, a 00s-era indie band who also formed in Aberystwyth.
