It is available with an opaque or transparent cover to enable quick shade ID, and is designed to be secure and travel-friendly, while it can also be made in PCR material and offers a number of finishes and decoration options to convey brand identity.
Albéa, meanwhile, offers its Square product range, consisting of refillable palettes in a variety of sizes. The palettes are designed so that when an eyeshadow is used up, consumers can easily clip in the refill, which Boroni says allows consumers to play and experiment by swapping out different colours or replacing the empty shades.
“This solution supports both brands and consumers in their transition to reusable packaging that offers a reduced
environmental impact without compromising on the aesthetics,” she tells Cosmetics Business. Albea’s square palette is said to reduce the company’s carbon footprint by 50% after four refills, compared with a traditional palette, according to the company. Packaging company Texen Group also expanded its offer last year with a range of refillable palettes, suitable for eyeshadows and other pressed powder products.
