On-set dailies and DIT, grade, conform and deliverables

A post house is only as good as its reputation. Black Photon’s USP is a comprehensive understanding of data management and the colour pipeline from pre-production through to master, including designing their own software applications and so having a critical advantage. This reputation for excellence within DI has extended beyond Poland and the go-to team are currently working on four films and two TV series for Netflix, as well as for Canal+ and others.

Black Photon offers a complete on set data management service from data wrangling, LTO archive and editorial transcodes to dailies and consulting on workflow.

For VFX, Black Photon has an inhouse team for opening titles and credits and a network of talented VFX teams across Poland to call upon. The team can master to every required standard and format, including deliverables for Netflix, Amazon, Canal+ and many others, as well as archiving to LTO.

CEO and Co-Owner Kamil Rutkowski has an international reputation as an early adopter and innovator within high-end colour management. Kamil has been working in the motion picture industry for almost two decades and has been involved in the DI revolution in Poland from the beginning. Kamil delivered the first 4K DI project and was the technical lead for the first DCPs in Europe. Kamil has written his own applications and web services for video and audio data management and is the SMPTE Chairman in Poland.
