POST
FUTURE WORKFLOWS
“It is going to shorten the time to start. It’s going to make it easier to scale. It’s going to eliminate the requirement to provision hardware and ultimately, I think it’s going to really shorten the time that it takes to spin up shows and it’s going to create a process with technical and financial efficiencies within a production.”

“Arch platform will support multiple regions within the same environment so we can have multiple studios that are still interconnected and that are managed through the same, single control point.
“At AWS, we provide the underlying infrastructure and provide some purpose-built tools that connect the dots and we provide best practices and that’s really what we’re showcasing.
“We believe our partners are our greatest strength and that’s why we’re trying to lift them up and interconnect them and show that by everybody working together we can create an environment that is greater than the sum of its parts.
“You can really start to interconnect using AWS infrastructure and best practises. All of what were formally data silos come together.
“We’re already seeing it applied. If you look at Company3, they’re already doing a lot of this today. They have their platform called Synapse that allows them to move footage to the AWS cloud, orchestrate the movement of that around to their facilities all around the world and then they have a platform called Cloud Studio that allows them to access that data through virtual workstations, perform that work and everything remains securely in the cloud in their own data link.
“Untold Studios in the UK has been working with AWS for quite some time. In fact, they
were one of the few companies that didn’t weather any major impact a few years ago with the pandemic. They were already all online and everybody went home on Monday and just got working.
“I don’t think the post houses are going to be disempowered by this change. I think they’re actually going to benefit from some of the cost efficiencies and the elasticity of being able to right-size instances, to right- size their environments and ultimately effect technological and economic efficiencies as well as a result of this transformation.
“This is just going to build. We’re going to expand upon this and include more workflows and include more ancillary products in there and slowly build towards that integrated holistic environment in the cloud. We’re aligned with the MPA, TPN and we’re really excited about MovieLab’s recognition of this.”
