Firm tweaks name as it takes a more aggressive stance

British airgun maker introduces new name and identity... B

ritish airgun company Brocock is to introduce a new name on its rifles to

better reflect the brand’s emergence as a leading manufacturer of pre-charged pneumatic air rifles following its acquisition by The Diana Group in 2014. Moving forward, it’s current line-up of rifles as well as future models will be badged as ‘BRK Brocock’. Production of the range, which comprises the Commander XR, Sniper XR, Concept XR and Ranger XR will continue at the company’s manufacturing facility in Staffordshire, England. “Brocock rifles have progressed far beyond its air cartridge and Co2 fun-gun origins,” says sales director Rachel Flint. “Today our rifles are the first choice of professionals, serious competition shooters and enthusiasts the world over.

journey the company has undertaken since being acquired in 2014 and reflects the many innovations that have been achieved, such as standardising on Huma Air regulators and introducing a new sidelever platform for example.” T&G caught up with Tony Belas, marketing manager for the group, at the launch of the press launch of the new BRK Ghost. He told us: “For us it was important not to lose the 30 year heritage of the Brocock name but the move, which will be gradual, from Brocock to BRK does herald a significant change.

“Over the coming months dealers can expect a more aggressive market stance from the company. The new BRK Ghost will lead the way – a

flagship gun from the brand that is engineered way beyond any other gun ever made.” Tony shared with T&G the fact that BRK has access to machinery and facilities that no ordinary airgun manufacturer could ever achieve. “As an example,” says Tony, “just the monocoque of the new Ghost takes three hours to machine – and that’s using state of the art machinery that’s used in military applications. Few companies have access to such materials and machinery, let alone airgun companies. We’re very lucky in that respect.”
