Superyacht Inflatables was set up as a direct result of almost a decade of superyacht inflatable supply from several manufacturers. In fact, they probably have more experience of yacht requirements and new builds than any other company. “We felt we were being held back by the limited amount of innovation by our existing suppliers and were sure we could provide a better-quality product which at the same time was more environmentally friendly at a competitive price,” says Peter Emmons who heads up the team.
Most yachts now have a pool and slide as standard equipment. In fact, it is the essential equipment for a charter yacht! Using Superyacht Inflatables’ products, crew can simply zip the jet ski, eFoil and seabob docks together with lounging areas and sea pools to make an awesome beach club on the water. Add in the loungers, sup boards and rescue sleds and you can have the perfect set up that can be quickly unzipped and stored in multiple locations. Several innovative ideas have been added to their designs which are now supplied as standard on all inflatables. From improvements such as covering air valves and avoiding the use of metal D rings to prevent damage to paintwork and teak decks, to joining the docks and pools with heavy- duty zippers, the set-up is safe for the user and kind to the mothership!
Custom designs are Superyacht Inflatable’s speciality. In addition to tailored designs, they provide the option of manufacturing with additional branding and colours to suit the mothership, which in turn enhances this high-quality solution. Superyacht Inflatables have a team of in-house designers with a wealth of experience who are happy to work with you to ensure the best solution possible.
Most importantly, a large number of their products are now made from TPU fabric rather than traditional PVC. TPU fabric is inherently flexible and manufactured without the use of plasticisers which can leach into the ocean. It is stronger than PVC and has up to 10 times better abrasion resistance without adding any extra weight to the docks. Although they still use some PVC in their products, this is kept to a minimum and they work hard to re-purpose old products. More recently, Superyacht Inflatables are working with a partner to remake the old fabric into waterproof bags.
