EXECUTIVE REPORT continued
Dromad Hire’s charity runner
Dromad Hire’s Sales & Business Development Manager, Pierce Martin, has raised €1,000 for Dublin’s Mater Hospital after being sponsored to run 100 miles in the month of February. “It is the first time I have
done anything like this,” said Pierce, who only took up running seriously this year. He is pictured with Seamus Byrne, MD of the Dundalk-based company, who added, “Funds raised through the Mater Foundation are used to purchase state-of-the-art equipment, enhance facilities and to ensure that all patients at the hospital are cared for in a restful, healing and comfortable environment.”

Kendrick Hire summer reunion
As readers with long memories will know, Kendrick Hire was one of the leading tool hire companies throughout the 1980s and early 1990s. In September 1994, its 41 depots were acquired by Speedy, which greatly accelerated the latter’s expansion. Twenty-five years on, founder David
Kendrick (who also turns 70 this year) is inviting all ex-Kendrick Hire employees to a grand reunion set for lunchtime on Sunday, 14 July at Churchill College, Cambridge. All former personnel are welcome, irrespective of their position or length of tenure within the company. To find out more and to register, visit
