EXECUTIVE HIRE SHOW REVIEW continued
MHM generates interest
Several new products caught the eye on the MHM stand, including the compact Fuel Caddi-105, a portable IBC fuel container with a 105-litre capacity. Also new is the MGTP 10 S-Event, a 10kVA generator with a quoted noise rating of just 50dB(A). A lot of interest
was aroused by the range of Solar Hybrid-Gen generators, pictured. available in 6kVA and 10kVA. The machines run off a combination of solar and battery power, giving self-
charge capabilities, with backup from a small diesel engine. 0808 168 9099

Dominating the CLM Construction Supplies stand was a selection of material handing products made by the Danish company, AL-Lift. The one-man AL-Mobivac (foreground of picture) is designed for
work with porous tiles and stones, having a high vacuum flow provided by an integral Honda generator. Also on display was the Flexmover, a battery-operated trolley for moving boards and other materials. The front and rear axles move simultaneously and it has a safe working load (SWL) of 1,100kg. The two-man, battery powered AL-Butler 200 has a maximum SWL
of 200kg, while the two-man AL-Manolay can be used for moving porous slabs and kerb stones with interchangeable suction pads, and has a SWL of 140kg.
The
AL-Typhoon 100 vacuum lift can be attached to a crane or mini excavator to handle items of up to 1,000kg, and is powered by a petrol engine.

Hilti’s petrol performer
Hilti’s new DSH 600-X petrol cut-off received its official launch at the Show. The tool accepts 12in-diameter blades and Hilti claims that it offers the cutting capability of a 14in equivalent. It can reach a maximum depth of 120mm which equates to thickness of a brick wall with a layer of plaster, increasing operational efficiency. The saw can be connected to the new DSH-P water pump for dust
suppression. This is driven by the tool itself and can suck water from a bucket or, even, a puddle if there is no convenient mains supply. Walid Hussain, National Tool Hire Manager (UK) for Hilti (Gt. Britain) Ltd reports steady levels of business from tool hirers and that the manufacturer’s Fleet Management programme, whereby a fixed monthly charge covers servicing and repairs for three years, is enabling them to invest in new equipment more easily.
