EXECUTIVE HIRE SHOW REVIEW continued

HSC’s bright ideas

The Hire Supply Co unveiled two brand new products aimed at core ranges in a typical fleet, and designed to HSC’s exact specifications. The Delta Light is a 110V 36W LED uplighter producing 3,000 lumens of 360° illumination. It has two take- offs for power tools and two USB sockets for charging equipment, even including a cradle in which to place a mobile phone being charged. A carrying handle is also incorporated.

Also new are a range of transformers in HSC’s Elite line-up. These

are designed to prevent the user from overloading the unit, resulting in downtime for the user and complaints to hirers when it might be the customer’s responsibility. A thermostat is incorporated to cut the power if a pre-set temperature is reached. The stackable units have recessed sockets and a cable tidy, and are available in 3 and 5kVA.

0845 309 0909 Husqvarna cuts it

Husqvarna Construction Products showed the K770 VAC, a version of its K770 disc cutter with a redesigned blade guard to facilitate dust collection in work areas where a water supply for wet cutting is not available. The machine has a flexible hose connection for attachment to an

external dust collector, with debris being gathered at source. A 12in blade is fitted and the tool’s design gives a cutting depth close to that of a typical 14in equivalent, states Husqvarna. Also on show

was the new K535i cordless disc cutter which has a 35cc motor and is powered by a 36V battery. Designed for wet

or dry cutting, it has a 9in blade and Husqvarna has developed a new range of blades and abrasives for optimum performance.

Sun shines on Genquip Groundhog

Dominating the Genquip Groundhog stand was the company’s most popular static welfare unit, the SWO7600 Fusion Pulse, with solar trickle charging. It heating system is designed for efficiency and it was displayed with new, tilting solar panels configuration for more efficient charging, further reducing the need of the on board generator. The unit on display had a roof-mounted 340W panel and a

50W panel on each of the four windows, which fold back into secure shutters when not in use. With more sites now having mixed use and demanding a higher level of toilet provision, this unit also has separate male and female toilet facilities with full flush capability, and no chemicals are required.

01639 823484 Trime’s new Baby

They were looking at the manufacturer’s new X-Baby compact portable lighting tower. The machine has two 70W LED lamps and is powered by an AGM

battery giving a maximum running time of 18 hours, with an output of 20 lux. The manual mast has a maximum height of 2m.
