Thwaites The new three tonne electric dumper from Thwaites will be seen for
the first time in the UK at the 2023 Executive Hire Show. As the demand for cleaner alternative fuel sources grows, Thwaites
is keen to ensure they offer a quality product that delivers for its customers, their clients and the environment. For maintenance free, long-life, lithium-ion (dry-cell) batteries,
operating at 48V, are fitted. Each is rated at 5.75kWh, providing the power to drive the machine, with two efficient electric motors (one for traction, one for the hydraulic services) giving the operator full control and manoeuvrability. The new electric drive dumper has a similar unladen weight when
compared to the diesel/hydrostatic version. The main battery pack and driveline components, now sit low in the rear chassis, lowering
the centre of gravity when compared to the hydrostatic drive machine, further improving machine stability. The standard on-board 3.4kW battery charger can charge the pack
from 0-100% in 8hrs. Optional off-board chargers rated at 7kW (single-phase) and 22kW (three-phase) have charge times of 4hrs and 2hrs respectively. Critically, the battery pack will complete a full eight-hour shift of `normal site operation’ from a single charge.

inspHire One of the latest products inspHire is showcasing at the EHS 2023 is WebPro. WebPro is an off-the-
shelf cloud solution that allows for guest, cash and account customers of the hire business to shop and hire online. It is pre-integrated with inspHire and allows customers to create an online trading capability for B2B and B2C customers. Users of WebPro can simply and easily browse the hire & sales items, which include rich information such as manuals, product guides and videos, and quickly and easily place hire reservations and sales orders online. With the seamless integration to inspHire, this new channel to market will help hire companies increase turnover and reach new customers.

IDE Systems The ‘Erica’ energy management and control system is fitted into a site distribution board, which means no
additional equipment is required onsite. Erica is then connected to WIFI or 4G to send power usage data straight to the online dashboard. By measuring power loads over time, and across an entire site installation the power needs can be
analysed to determine the best mix of diesel generator, hybrid, and alternative power sources. The online dashboard allows users to view live power usage and turn power on and off to certain areas of the site using the scheduler. Reducing site power consumption provides sites with the opportunity to downsize large and/or noisy diesel
generators with smaller ones, or move to low carbon solutionssuch as battery hybrid units, solar pods, or an electricity grid connection from renewable sources.

MHM The MGTP 10 USY-5 is the first 10kva ultra-silent generator in its class, with noise
levels rated at just 55dBa at 7m. This ultra-silent machine opens up more opportunities for hire companies in areas
where 10kva is sufficient power and low noise levels are required. This includes smaller events but also increasingly noise restrictions are placed on construction contractors working in residential areas as well as on filming by media companies. Available as a stand-alone machine or on a road-ready tow trailer kit, the MGTP 10
USY-5 is powered by a Yanmar Stage 5 diesel engine for reduced emissions and improved fuel consumption. It also features the MHM-Gen pre-emptive engine shutdown technology, which automatically shuts off the engine to prevent major damage in scenarios including low fuel or oil pressure, high engine temperature or battery failure. The MGTP 10 USY-5 features a robust design and practical features, such as an
integrated lifting eye and forklift pockets for quick relocation on site. There is a three- way fuel valve for connection to an external fuel tank, while its internal tank is 110% bunded to prevent fuel spills.
